Advocacy Update: February 2018

Affordable Housing and Clean Energy work in Minnesota:  

Affordable Housing: LA-MN staff works with a subset of Homes for All partners to our 2018 coalition legislative request. We are pleased to announce it now, will need YOU and YOUR church help to make it a reality through your legislators! Contact us for ideas, information, sample letters, talking points, etc!!

$150 million to provide Minnesotans with safe, stable and affordable housing

  • $110 million in Housing Infrastructure Bonds (HIB) to create supportive rental housing, preserve housing, and promote homeownership;
  • $30 million in General Obligation (GO) Bonds to make improvements to the state’s public housing.
  • $10 million in the budget to prevent and end homelessness and promote affordable housing

 

Faith and Clean Energy Campaign: In the process of working to build legislative champions of clean energy, Lutheran Advocacy-MN with the other Faith & Clean Energy partners is looking to set up non-partisan church/faith events in several parts of the state.
